Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the most frequently asked coaching questions.

  • What is coaching?
Coaching is a partnership that supports individuals in achieving personal and professional growth. It involves structured conversations, goal setting, and accountability practices that help clients enhance their performance and overall well-being. I integrate two specialized approaches into my coaching: somatic coaching and Time Line Therapy®. Somatic coaching focuses on the body's knowledge to create holistic change, helping clients to recognize and shift physical responses associated with past experiences and emotions. Time Line Therapy® involves working with a person’s internal timeline to heal emotional traumas and eradicate unwanted thoughts and behaviors. By combining these methods, I guide clients not just through mental or emotional paths but through a comprehensive, embodied journey of change, using the wisdom of both mind and body to foster profound transformation.
  • What's the difference between coaching and therapy?
The main difference between coaching and therapy lies in their focus and methodology. Therapy typically addresses psychological and emotional conditions, aiming to heal past traumas and improve mental health through clinical interventions. It delves deep into emotional difficulties and past experiences to aid recovery and promote mental well-being. Coaching, on the other hand, tends to focus on setting and achieving goals, personal development, and optimizing one's life and career. While coaching can be therapeutic, it is not therapy.

As a trauma-informed coach, I am equipped to manage a variety of trauma responses. Clients who have previously engaged in therapy and are generally functioning well in most areas of their life often find coaching especially beneficial. However, I recognize the importance of appropriate care, and should I believe that therapy might be more suitable for a client’s needs, I will not hesitate to provide referrals to specialized therapeutic services. This ensures that each individual receives the most appropriate and effective support for their unique circumstances.
  • What are your qualifications?
I carry 3 ICF Coaching Certifications and am accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF) at the PCC level. I am also certified in Somatic Coaching, Breathwork, and 200hr Yoga Instruction.

I also have Master & Trainer certifications in Hypnotherapy, Time Line Therapy®, and NLP. I am currently studying and practicing for an MCC level accreditation through the ICF.
